Issue 2026-003 | Issue date: 2026-10-19 | Reporting period: 2026-10-12–2026-10-18 | Price snapshots checked: 2026-10-19. Comparisons use the October 12 briefing. This issue establishes the first site-level data-center baseline; older announcements are not new weekly supply.
Three actionable developments
- B300 rack design needs a fresh deployment check. Supermicro's October 13 OCP launch adds 2OU, eight-GPU B300 nodes on ORv3/48V DC, up to 18 nodes/144 GPUs per rack. Recheck utilities before comparing conventional rack quotes. This verifies specifications, not Asian stock or delivery slots. Official source
- Data-center financing and ownership are changing, without verified new vacancy. DayOne announced approximately USD7.2bn of Malaysia financing on October 14; PDG signed an agreement to sell five Indonesian enterprise sites on October 12, subject to closing. Validate phase delivery and the eventual service counterparty. DayOne / PDG
- The GB300 public rental snapshot moved higher. Verda lists USD11.71/GPU/hour versus 10.95 in the previous snapshot: +6.94%. RunPod and Nebius prices below are unchanged. The effective date is undisclosed; obtain region- and term-specific conditions. Verda
GPU supply, purchase pricing and lead times
No independently verifiable physical inventory quantities, OEM available-to-promise allocations, delivered purchase prices or binding lead times were obtained for B300, GB300, H200 or H100 in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand. Availability announcements, reseller listings and cloud prices do not establish purchasable stock. No hardware price/lead-time change is asserted; historical inventory documents are not assumed valid.
Comparable purchase offers need configuration, quantity, new/refurbished condition, PCIe/SXM, server/rack scope, destination, taxes/freight and validity, supported by physical-stock evidence or direct OEM allocation confirmation.
OEM and channels
Supermicro OCP portfolio — October 13, 2026; global relevance. The advertised 250kW CDU rating is cooling capability, not rack electrical consumption or deployable GPU quantity. Asian allocations, prices and lead times were not disclosed. Match ORv3, DC power, CDU placement, facility-water temperature/flow, floor loading and the full network BOM to the site. Evidence: strong official technical disclosure; commercial delivery unverified. Source
No material, quantified new four-market ATP or binding lead-time disclosure was verified from Dell, HPE or ASUS; this does not establish absence of supply.
Asian data centers and rentable capacity

Weekly operator signals
- PDG/SM+, Indonesia — October 12 signing. Five enterprise sites span Greater Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya and Pekanbaru. Closing remains conditional. Keep these assets separate from PDG's JC2/JC3/JC4 hyperscale portfolio. Check contract transfer, support, SLA and billing arrangements; do not infer service deterioration or released capacity. Evidence: strong official agreement disclosure, not completed transfer. Source
- DayOne, Malaysia — October 14 announcement. Financing increased from approximately USD3.5bn secured in May 2025 to approximately 7.2bn. Billed capacity exceeded 1GW at announcement; bookings of 2.3GW, reservations of 1.1GW and resources of 4.6GW are dated September 20, 2026 and are not all Johor capacity. Resources mix operating, construction and land stages. Do not subtract these categories to infer vacancy. Confirm site/phase-specific uncommitted capacity and energization. Evidence: company disclosure, not independent acceptance. Source
Historical market baseline, not new offers. CBRE's June 17, 2026 report, covering Q1 and a 250–500kW requirement, lists monthly asking rents: Singapore USD330–475/kW, average 403; Tokyo average 280; Hong Kong 295. Electricity/PUE, taxes, installation, deposits, cross-connects, networking, liquid cooling and operations scope were not verified. These are not October site quotes. No comparable verified public Johor/Jakarta/Bangkok rent was obtained. Cushman's H1 2026 update reports APAC vacancy falling from 10.9% in H2 2025 to 10.3%; this does not establish current site vacancy. Evidence: historical industry research, moderate. CBRE / Cushman
Before placement, qualify minimum commitment, term/deposit, quote validity, powered IT load, anchor-customer occupation, CDU/water conditions, redundancy/SLA, carriers and measured cross-border latency.
Mainland China is separate. No compliant, deliverable capacity-and-GPU offer was verified for these models. An operating facility does not establish lawful deployment for a particular product/customer.
GPU leasing economics
October 19 public on-demand observations, normalized only to USD/GPU/hour; neither hardware purchase prices nor guaranteed Asian long-term capacity.
| Provider / product | H100 | H200 | B300 | GB300 | Weekly comparison |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| RunPod Secure Pods | 3.99 / 80GB SXM | 5.29 / 141GB | 8.99 / 288GB | Not verified | Three listed models unchanged |
| Nebius HGX | 4.50 | 5.40 | 9.50 | Contact sales | Three listed models unchanged |
| Verda on-demand | 4.296 / 80GB SXM5 | 5.602 / 141GB SXM5 | 10.18 / 268GB SXM6, as listed | 11.71 / 288GB SXM6 | GB300: 10.95 to 11.71, +6.94%; no matched prior primary-source baseline for others |
RunPod marks its page updated October 8. Nebius and Verda give no effective date/validity for these observed prices. Verda's GB300 product page describes Nordic hosting, not Asian inventory. GPU memory, CPU/RAM, instance/cluster and network scope differ; this is not a cheapest-provider ranking.
Taxes, deposits, guaranteed Asian region/quantity and commercial validity remain unverified. Confirm storage, egress, support and RoCE/IB/NVLink topology. Obtain matched-region/term total-cost offers. No payback estimate is made without purchase cost, achieved utilization, capital cost and realizable residual value.
Cross-border compliance
No new material formal rule effective October 12–18 was verified for the priority markets. Dynamic official-search coverage was incomplete; this is not a comprehensive transaction clearance. These are existing/future-effective checkpoints, not new weekly rules:
- Singapore — enacted, effective December 1, 2026. SGCO2026 was published October 1. Customs warns older classification advice may be outdated. Five-working-day advance application requirements for export/transshipment and transit are not an approval SLA. Reclassify relevant items and allow delivery buffers. FAQ publication date undisclosed; checked October 19. Strong official evidence. FAQ
- U.S. EAR — existing end-user controls. BIS guidance dated May 31, 2026 confirms specified advanced-computing items can remain license-controlled worldwide for entities headquartered or ultimately parented in D:5/Macau. An ASEAN address alone does not settle licensing. Review classification, ownership, destination and end use for each route. Strong official guidance; transaction applicability unresolved. BIS / Current §744.23
- Mainland China/Macau H200 — existing rule effective January 15, 2026. Qualifying direct U.S. exports receive case-by-case review; reexports/in-country transfers and relevant D:5/Macau-parent cases retain denial presumptions. This does not generally authorize H200 transshipment or B300/GB300. Strong official rule evidence. Rule
- Malaysia — existing requirement effective July 14, 2025. MITI requires strategic-trade permits for export, transshipment and transit of U.S.-origin high-performance AI chips. The at-least-30-day notification concerns relevant Section12 knowledge/reasonable-suspicion cases, not every chip shipment. Confirm item/route requirements. Strong official evidence. MITI
No material new Indonesian/Thai measure was verified; no party is cleared by this report. Used equipment and returns do not automatically escape controls.
ITAD opportunities
No verified weekly H100/H200 completed resale prices, bulk retirement inventory, warranty-transfer changes or new sanitization/cross-border recovery rules were obtained. Marketing buyback indications are insufficient for a residual-value curve.
Assessing recovery routes for equipment from operating-site refreshes or relocations requires verified title/serials, complete PCIe/SXM/server configuration, test logs, OEM warranty-transfer eligibility, persistent-media sanitization records and chain of custody. This is analysis, not an available lot.
Sources & Coverage
Official technical/regulatory disclosures, public price observations, historical research and analysis are labeled separately. All sources checked October 19. Undated pages are not assigned publication dates. Vantage's live-page fetch failed; official search text was available. Jakarta's technical sheet is old; MU1 phase definitions need reconciliation. No physical inspection, binding quote, verified site vacancy or complete commercial scope was obtained.
